Studio Testimonials

Amazing

The Herbaculture teachers are extremely knowledgeable and really pay attention to your form and offer adjustments. They also offer CBD lotion prior to your practice and have Himalayan Salt wall columns throughout the studio. Some OC Yoga studios can be a bit intimidating but not Herbaculture, you feel right at home!

Beautiful

Beautiful studio, wonderful group of people with all backgrounds in yoga and health and wellness. They are very knowledgeable in the fields they work with and kind and caring. My absolute favorite part of this beautiful studio is their Himalayan salt light. It is beautiful and provides and amazing Drishti point of focus. I found the studio to be calming and beautiful.

Debbie C. (Dana Point, CA)

Utopian

Utopian atmosphere. That’s how I’d describe my first yoga class in this studio. Integrating high quality CBD products in to your yoga practice to attain a state of pure surrender – part of your Niyama. Plus! They have; not one, but two massive Salt Block walls to create beautiful ambient lighting…not to mention its numerous benefits! This studio gets it!

What are Your Goals for Yoga Practice?

Prior to your search for the perfect Orange County yoga studio, you have first to determine what your goals are for your yoga classes. Finding your goals can prioritize your choices and help you find the best fit for your needs. You can begin the process of finding an OC yoga studio by asking yourself the following questions.

What do I want out of my yoga practice?
Do I want to break a sweat and get into fitness?
Am I trying to reduce pain internally or externally?
Do I want to decrease my stress and anxiety?
Do I want to work on my flexibility or get stronger?
Do I want to have a deep spiritual practice?
Does the space need to be an Oasis?

You need to determine what you want to obtain from the experience so you can determine the type of yoga you want to practice so you can choose the best Orange County yoga studio for your wants and needs.

Select a Yoga Type Right for You

Orange County California Yoga and Dance Studio
The environment in which you practice OC yoga makes a huge difference in the benefits to your life. At Herbaculture, we have create a sacred space for you to practice and authentically change your like for the better.

Once you determine why you want to do yoga, you’ll need to understand the various styles of yoga you can choose. Over the last several decades, yoga has branched out, and there are many classes offered in a Orange County yoga studio to suit a variety of needs. Knowing what you want will help you choose the most suitable type of yoga, as well as what to expect and what to wear to class. Herbaculture Orange County yoga classes offer Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Reiki Energy Healing, Yin Restorative Yoga, Sound Healing Meditation and Alternative Medicine practices using CBD.

Yoga falls into two fairly broad categories: fast-paced and slow-paced.

Some kinds of yoga, like Bikram, Ashtanga, and Sivananda, follow a set sequence, which means you will be doing the exact same thing every time you go. Some find this monotony to be tedious and frustrating, while others find it organized and meditative. Other styles of yoga will offer different postures and sequences with each practice.

OC yoga classes that involve “flow” will be quick, and you’ll move from pose to pose quickly. These types of classes include the movement of your entire body and will work on increasing your flexibility, as well as your balance, strength, and endurance.

Other kinds of yoga, like Yin and Restorative yoga, will be incredibly slow and will use a lot of seated and reclined poses. These types of classes will have you primarily developing flexibility, and the long periods you s pend on each pose will either drive you crazy or will significantly reduce your stress.

Bikram and Hot Yoga are practiced in a heated room, while Kundalini will be more spiritual and focus less on the postures. Some Orange County yoga studios will offer prenatal and postnatal yoga for pregnant women and new mothers, and some even offer classes that mom and baby can take together.

Search the OC and Select the Appropriate Studio

While this may be obvious, it is incredibly vital that you choose a studio that is not only convenient but within your budget as well. You should also feel excited about the experience you are going to have. If you want to reap all the benefits of yoga near Orange County, then you need to make it a habit, which means going at least once a week. While you may choose to sign up for the best studio in town, if you have to go out of your way to get to class, chances are you will quickly drop the practice. Not to worry, Herbaculture is located next to OCC Orange Coast College and a convenient drive to all neighborhoods in Orange County.

As far as paying for your regular yoga practice, many yoga studios will offer an annual or monthly subscription option, passes, which include a certain number of classes, and drop-in options where you pay separately for each class that you attend. In general, a subscription service will be cheaper than the drop-in classes so please inquire about Herbaculture value memberships; this way your spot in the class is always ready for you.

Just like trying to find the best marijuana dispensaries, speaking to your friends and colleagues is another way that you can learn about Orange County yoga studios near you. Find out if anyone you know does yoga and if they practice at a yoga studio in town.

Go to the OC Yoga Studio and Feel

Aerial Yoga Fabric in Orange County Class
With our unique classes like Aerial Yoga (shown here), you are bound to find the right class or event to transform your life.

After you’ve narrowed down your choices to several yoga studios, take some time to drop by so you can get a feel for what it will be like to be there. Consider the atmosphere of the studio. Do they have music playing? What is the lighting like, and are there any decorations? Have they decorated in traditional Indian fashion or is the place more modern? Herbaculture offers the unique experience of Himalayan Salt walls for your practice.

Talk to the receptionist or the person in charge and take a look at the studio’s schedule. Are the employees you talk to friendly? Do they make you feel welcome? Keep in mind that you will be visiting the Orange County yoga studio that you pick at least once a week. If there is anything there that you are uncomfortable with or don’t like, it will continue to bother you when you start your classes. You want to choose a studio in which you feel good and comfortable, and that puts you at ease and in the position of relaxation.

Try a Class and See How Your Feel – It’s About You!

Let the yogi team and staff know that you are interested in taking up yoga and ask them about their drop-in or introductory classes. Make sure that you are completely honest with your level, even if you’ve never practiced yoga before. You want to make sure that the Orange County yoga studio and class you choose will suit your level of practice.

If you aren’t sure about what you want or are new to the practice, you can ask if you can try a few classes. Many yoga studios near Orange County will offer just one free introductory course, but that doesn’t mean you can’t pay for other single drop-in classes. Trying a few different classes will give you a better perspective on the different styles and teachers at the studio and can help you choose a studio that best meets your needs. If at all possible, you might want to try the same style of yoga with several teachers, because you may have a different experience with each one.

After doing some research and trying a few classes at different OC studios, you can go back to the questions you asked yourself at the beginning of your Orange County yoga studio search. You want to make sure that you choose a studio that you personally prefer. The last thing you want to do is follow a trend or base your choice solely on someone else’s recommendation. Since yoga is a spiritual practice of self-discovery, the yoga studio near Orange County you choose to practice will determine your success.
